You've got it rough..... or do you?

Had a rough day? Been unhappy lately? What about them:

Think Your job is tough? What about his:

Think your salary is low? Now think about her:

Do you think studying is a burden? What about her:

When you feel like giving up....think of this man:

Do you think you suffer through life? Do you suffer such as he does:

Do you complain about your transportation system? Think of them:

Is society unfair to you? What about this woman:

That's Life for you. Allah has given us so much, yet still we find ourselves caught up in a 'my life stinks' mentality. What if you were in any one of these people's places? Would you then think that the current situation you are in 'stinks'?

May Allah increase us in gratitude to Him. May He make us content with what we have. May He make us crave the Hereafter. May He enter us into the paradise under which rivers flow.

no particular reason. They have life so different than us. We have it soooo easy compared to them, but not a day goes by except that we hear complaining from people, or hear it from our own mouths.

I remember when i was younger, in like the second grade out teacher taught us a quote. The quote was "in a world of what we want its only what we want until its ours". That quote became famous later when someone sang it in a song. But i remember hearing it and thinking "that is sooo true". Our ancestors had it rough, (or most of our ancestors) and when they began to succeed it was amazing. They enjoyed it. If you told any one of them the things we have today, they would be in shock and think we are living a 'heaven on earth' type of life. But us...what do we do with it? We already have it, so we dont have to want it. and since we dont have to want it, we end up, many times, not being grateful.

lesson learned: dem asians are tuff maann!

alhamdulillah. and you know what I noticed, i didnt see a frown or a tear on a single one of their faces. they dont have much but they are probably more grateful t han we that have...practically anything we want...practically!
